  • Farhan is an Information Technology Solutions Architect with a keen interest towards Cloud Computing, Service Provisioning, Large Service Provider, Data Center and Enterprise Networks Solutions Design & Implementations. A Triple CCIE in Routing & Switching, Service Provider and Data Center.

    Throughout the career, Farhan has been through several roles such as Principal Architect, Technical Architect, Systems Integrator, Network Implementation Expert, Network Design Engineer, Technical Consultant, Technical Specialist, Subject Matter Expert, and a Technical Trainer.

    Farhan has vast experience in various industries and has designed and implemented various information technology infrastructure solutions in fields of aviation, oil & gas, managed services provider, cloud provider, government entities, public sector organisations, energy and water supply corporations, manufacturing industry, healthcare, educational institutions, training and development organisations and non-profit firms.

    When he is not doing the usual work, he enjoys exploring new technologies, new tools and ways to solve common problems, networking with peers and friends and casual coding.

    Farhan is a Principal IT Architect for Network Architecture & Technology at flydubai, providing technical direction in several areas including enterprise infrastructure, cloud, data centre, core business, technology and innovation strategy. The overall responsibility resides in the following domains:

    - Network Evolution: develop target network architectures and use cases in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and technology vendors/partners.

    - Technology Strategy: articulate technology recommendations, develop technology roadmap and action plan in areas of ownership, with the goal to support BU/Company's business strategy and maximize differentiation and competitiveness.

    - Standardization: influence/drive standardization strategy, focusing on network & security infrastructure, information security, cyber security, cloud and virtualization, including internal coordination, external contributions and company representation.

    - Innovation: identification and assessment of technology trends relevant to network evolution, innovation within cloud, datacenter and automation technologies which are inline with the company's business growth and its overall strategy.

    - Internal/External Engagements: Providing Subject Matter Expertise in interactions with technology vendors/OEMs, internal BUs and C-level executives, produce the necessary communications, design documents, presentations etc. corresponding to projects and associated internal teams.
